The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is an excellent option if you're looking for a robot mop and vacuum that's priced in the middle. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive counterpart.

In tests, it was able to take on dry oats and dust on carpets of medium pile and pet hair on hard floors. However, like cheaper models, it doesn't utilize LIDAR to help you map your home.

1. iRobot Roomba S9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It has a lot of features and impressive cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is integrated into the charging base. This robot can learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automatic schedules to provide you with a truly hands-free cleaning experience.

It's easy to set up thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is setup, you can start automated cleaning with a single button click. You can choose an overall clean that focuses on the removal of larger pieces of debris like cereal and rice. You can also select two detailed mappings to ensure that your home is thoroughly cleaned.

This robot vacuum performs well both on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It is able to take large objects and does not lose suction as fast as some other models and can pick up pet hair without difficulty. It's a challenge with plush or high-pile carpets however iRobot claims that future models will be better.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot that focuses on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba to adopt a flat-fronted, D-shaped design, which it hopes will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs that are standard however we found it to be only marginally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has superior filtration which blocks microscopic particles and Best Robot Vacuum and Mop allergens recirculating throughout your home. We think this is a nice claim however, it's not enough to justify a premium price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to keep track of your home's layout, and vSLAM technology for mapping the interior. This allows it to steer clear of obstacles, like stairs and other barriers and to tidy up your entire house in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot knows which areas need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vac settings are as efficient as those found on more expensive models, and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a much more impressive job of scrubbing floors than a stationary vibration pad.

The only downside is that it does not have an additional rubber brush to provide more thorough cleaning, but that's a small price to pay if you are looking for one of the top robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is bigger than most of its competitors and filling it takes just two or three cycles even when you have maximum dirt.

For the mopping device, I was amazed with its ability to scrub off tough dirt from my floors. Its two lowest mopping settings which are less powerful than the high-powered modes, produce very minimal noise, meaning you can work or even watch television without getting distracted. If it encounters an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and moves on.

What makes the Q Revo apart is that it's designed to operate almost completely autonomously, requiring only a little for user intervention. The robo-vac comes with a multi-function dock that automatically moves physical garbage into the bin hidden from view and washes and dry mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong, such as low water levels or a cancelled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also create or combine actual rooms to alter the way Q Revo manages your home. This is a great feature to have if you have several areas of your home with different floor materials or if there's some clutter that must be removed regularly, such as toys, clothes and books. The robo-vac is also efficient and was one of the top performers in my tests, taking debris from both carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It is able to vacuum up wet spills. I recommend drying the area with a towel prior to sending it in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni is a premium robot vacuum cleaner mop and vacuum that comes with all the features you can wish for. It has the ability to rotate mops and a powerful vacuum mop robot cleaner that can clean carpets as well as hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also comes with an auto-cleaning station that automatically washes and empties mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also comes with a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately which allows it to avoid falling on furniture and other objects.

The most significant improvement over the ECOVACS The X1 Deebot is the modern, sleeker design. This is due to Danish company Jacob Jensen Design, best known for their Bang & Olufsen product line. The brookstone robot vacuum is still quite large. It has a height of more than two feet both height and depth, and weighs in at least four pounds. However the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it has faster battery charging and can complete a cleaning of about 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also comes with a larger and more robust dustbin that can store more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that works even when you're at home. It also has an intelligent routing feature that allows it to clean specific areas or rooms of your home instead of following a predetermined route.

The Omni Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested thanks to its mop pads rotating to scrub away tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also outstanding, and it also increases suction when it senses carpets to ensure thorough cleaning. It also has a large battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as effective as the ones we've seen on the market for a consumer robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra is a premium mop and vacuum robot that comes with a host of convenience features you do not often find on robots of this price. It can build detailed floor maps, detect different types of flooring and is among the few that can automatically wash and dry its mop pads. These features are nice, but they also push the L10s into the premium category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is tall and slim, with a white finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a huge bumper that helps protect the vacuum and furniture from damage when moving through the house. In the pane in the front is additional navigation technology with sensors that help the L10s Ultra maneuver tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that serves as the on/off switch. This button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and send it to its base station. The center of the control panel includes the circular menu which lets you select cleaning modes as well as schedules and preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will bring up the app's settings menu where you can modify the way that the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Like the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to map out your home. This produces a precise floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop efficiently, without getting stuck in areas with clutter. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and recognize them as obstacles, which is an excellent feature for households with pets or young children.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance which clears 98.4 percent of the debris from our hardwood floor test and taking out all but the most difficult juice stains. Its mops are also quite efficient, clearing 98.4% of debris on our tile, wood, and carpet tests. However, it wasn't quite as effective in removing sand from the floor, or quaker oats on the carpet.
