Albums

Toto's discography consists of 13 studio albums and 4 live albums. There are also compilations. In addition to the release of original music, Toto has also done collaborations with other artists as well as on soundtracks for films. The band has received multiple Grammy Awards.

Before Toto was formed The members of the band played session work for other musicians. Drummer Jeff Porcaro, bassist David Hungate and keyboardist David Paich (the son of session drummer Marty Paich and brother of guitarist Joe Porcaro) played on Boz Scaggs album from 1975 Silk Degrees. The group's collaboration led to formation of Toto in 1976.

Turn Back, Toto's third studio album was criticized by critics due to the absence of hit singles. In 1985 the lead singer Fergie Frederiksen left the group and the group held auditions for the new frontman. Guitarist Steve Lukather was chosen, and the band recorded the album Fahrenheit in 1986.

In 1998, Toto celebrated its 20th anniversary by re-discovering old demos and tapes to release a special record called Toto XX. The album was a hit by fans and the band went on a tour featuring former members Bobby Kimball, Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams.

Toto is famous for their hit song "Africa", recently joined forces to promote their upcoming album, All In. The album was released on November 6, 2018, and included three brand new tracks from the upcoming 40 Trips Around the Sun, and also completed recordings of four older tracks with Jeff Porcaro on drums and either Mike or Steve Porcaro on bass. The album also included an original cover of Weezer's song "Hash Pipe" that the band decided to add after hearing the song on the radio.
